Setting Up Jira Integration

Connecting Zyro to your Jira workspace is straightforward and opens up powerful automation capabilities for your testing workflow.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have: - Admin access to your Jira workspace - A Zyro Pro or Enterprise account - API access enabled in Jira

Step 1: Generate API Credentials

  1. Log into your Jira admin panel
  2. Navigate to Settings > Apps > OAuth credentials
  3. Create a new OAuth 2.0 integration
  4. Copy the Client ID and Secret

Step 2: Connect in Zyro

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations in Zyro
  2. Click "Add Jira Connection"
  3. Paste your OAuth credentials
  4. Authorize the connection

Step 3: Configure Sync Settings

Choose which projects and issue types should trigger automatic test generation:

  • User Stories - Generate functional test cases
  • Bug Reports - Create regression tests
  • Epics - Generate test suites

Best Practices

  • Use clear, descriptive acceptance criteria in your user stories
  • Tag stories with testing requirements
  • Review generated tests before execution
  • Set up bi-directional sync for test results

With the integration complete, Zyro will automatically generate test blueprints whenever new user stories are created or updated in your connected projects.
